 Dr. David Mussone
In 2006 Dr. David Mussone graduated from the Marquette University School of Dentistry. Dr. Mussone completed his general dentistry residency as a member of the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. The next 4 years were spent in active duty as a US Naval Dental Officer with the 7th Marine Corps.
In 2010 Dr. Mussone moved to Coos Bay, Oregon. After some years in his own private practice, he missed the collegiate atmosphere of working with other general dentists and decided to move to the Portland area. Dr. Mussone joined a locally founded group dental practice for several years before finding the right fit for his true passion, helping phobic patients that had a greater need for his extensive skill set. As a member of the Sleep Dentistry of Portland team he found he could focus on helping these patients achieve the dental health they had been missing for years through the use of his sedation dentistry expertise.
There is nothing he loves more than connecting with his patients and providing a non-judgmental experience to facilitate them getting back to a healthy long-lasting smile. Dr. Mussone brings his wide skill set to Sleep Dentistry of Portland, from full mouth reconstruction, root canals, and implant restoration to routine fillings and dentures.
 Dr. Pawandeep Sekhon
Dr. Pawandeep Sekhon was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. After completing her undergraduate degree at the The University of British Columbia, she moved to New York City to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at New York University. She then returned to British Columbia to further her dental training through a General Practice Residency. Through this experience, Dr. Sekhon was given the opportunity to practice dentistry in several rural parts of British Columbia including Haida Gwaii. She was also given the chance to further her skills in dealing with medically complex and fearful patients.
Dr. Sekhon’s focus is on providing a comfortable and relaxing dental experience for her patients while utilizing state of the art techniques and technologies. She believes in the importance of taking her time to really get to know her patients and their needs. She cherishes the opportunity to build lasting relationships with her patients and enjoys helping them overcome their fears and anxieties when it comes to pursuing their oral heath needs.
Another area of importance in Dr. Sekhon life is in giving back to the community. She has volunteered many hours to people who lack access to dental care. She particularly enjoys participating in the Oregon Mission of Mercy. Dr. Sekhon considers herself a life long learner and nurtures her love of learning through continuing education courses.
Dr. Sekhon and her husband moved to Portland in 2014, where they are raising their two young children Sage and Olivia. In her spare time Dr. Sekhon enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, dancing, hiking the beautiful trails of the PNW and exploring culturally diverse cuisines. |
